About the event
Ayurveda, “The Science of Life”, is the oldest system of natural medicine known to man, originating in ancient India over 5000 years ago. Ayurveda treats each individual as a unique expression of the five natural elements; earth, water, fire, air & ether, all according to a special constitution, called your DOSHA. Once we understand our dosha, we can learn how to balance it in the body, mind & emotions, and purify ourselves from the toxins & stresses of fast-paced, unnatural living. It is by living in accordance with our unique dosha that we can awaken the inner power of self-healing that lies within us.
Come along and join an informative, practical and fun workshop to learn about the system of Ayurveda and the importance of aligning with nature and her seasons, how to adjust your lifestyle, habits, food and drink, exercise, yoga and breathing to bring about shifts to your well-being.
This will be a 3-3.5 hour workshop including a meditation session, ayurvedic lunch, chai and a nice time to chat and connect with all.You will leave the workshop with increased awareness of your Ayurvedic dosha (personal constitution) as well as suitable recipes & simple daily practices to start implementing.
The experience will cover:
An introduction to Ayurveda and its core principles
Links between Yoga and Ayurveda
What your dosha is and how it affects your mind, body and spirit
Learning tools to maintain balance in our modern world
