Your body wasn’t designed for “calm.” Calm is a con. Capacity is the goal.


When life gets intense, your nervous system reaches for its oldest survival strategies. Sometimes that means mobilizing into action. Other times, it quietly slips into dorsal vagal shutdown, a numbed-out, spacey state that’s often mistaken for peace. But true resilience doesn’t live there.


Resilience lives in your ventral vagal system, your body’s capacity to stay present, connected, and engaged even in the midst of life’s waves. It’s the ability to hold more of what life brings, without collapsing or checking out.
