Who is this training for?

If you have begun your yoga journey and are seeking more knowledge and experience then a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training is the most obvious next step.

Some students enroll on a training with the intent to become a yoga teacher, others to enhance other healing modalities and others participate purely to deepen their own personal practice.

This training has been carefully curated to accommodate all of the above wether you are looking to expand your own understanding of yoga or you’re ready to become a yoga teacher.

Course Curriculum :

The 200 hour foundation level training is broken down into 4 x 4 day modules over 6 months. There will be follow up Zoom calls in between each module and assignments to accompany each module.

In this training we work to build the strong foundations that are required for any yoga practitioner and/or budding yoga teacher to fully experience the depth of yoga.

This training is designed to open you up to the deeper aspects of the practice (including but not inclusive of) asana ( the body ), pranayama ( the breath ), meditation ( the mind ) and philosophy ( the yogic way of life )  Our training has been created to include the following 4 aspects :

Module 1 : Foundation ~ An in depth experience into the fundamental aspects that make yoga yoga. From postural alignment and the basics of postures to the energetic elements and how they all work together to make each pose unique and specific, that's what this module is all about. Learn the why’s, what’s, how’s and history of the poses and why they matter in relation to the breath and the deeper elements of yoga.

If there isn’t a solid foundation on which to build a practice there isn’t the potential to grow beyond the basics and this module is all about ensuring that you, the practitioner and/or teacher have a thorough understanding of the primary  aspects of the practice of yoga so you can grow in a way that is sustainable for the long term and hopefully teach your students to do the same.

Module 2 : Growth ~ Building on the foundations of module 1 this module begins to explore some of the deeper aspects of yoga. We will explore the chakra systems and other yogic methods, begin to deepen into the philosophy of yoga, start to understand more about the anatomy of the spirit and learn ways to sequence classes according to a range of different audiences.

This module is about expanding beyond what you thought was possible in your practice and seeing what lies beneath the surface. We move deeper through the koshas towards discovering our own unique gifts and how the practice can support and hold us through all aspects of life.

Module 3 : Embodiment ~ As we move into the most experiential module of the training we begin to connect to ways in which we can embody the learnings so far. In this module we work through a number of processes to help you as the practitioner become more aware of what is getting in the way of you reaching your true potential.

We will explore a number of practices and techniques that work to make this a more visceral experience so even if your mind doesn’t remember all you have learnt, your body has experienced it and will know it on a much deeper level.

This is about unwinding old beliefs, creating new ways of being in the world and connecting closer to who it was you came here to be.

Module 4 : Integration ~ Finally we move towards integration. The deepening of everything we have learnt and experienced together over the 6 months. This module is really about solidifying and creating containers, processes and practices that will work to support you in your practice out in the world.

Wether you are doing this training for your own growth or you are an aspiring yoga teacher this module focuses on supporting you to feel into completion. It is about working through what is next for you, where do you want to be, what is your heartfelt vision for yourself and the rest of the world and most importantly, how can yoga support you in this?

This training is a life changing and truly transformational process.  It is a culmination of almost two decades of training and personal experiences from both Justine + Lyssa. They draw upon yoga as a primary modality that is supported also through shamanic practice, bodywork and other healing modalities.

Justine Sydenham

Justine Sydenham is the heart behind Sangha Studio & Omnia Healing Arts and has been nurturing her calling to Holistic and Natural ways of Healing for nearly two decades. She is an Integrative Bodyworker, Shamanic Reiki Practitioner, Sound Medicine Healer, Ceremonialist & Yoga/Meditation Teacher.

Integrity, honesty, humility & non-judgement is what’s most import for her, to consistently hold a safe & protected space for her students to 'do the work', unravel, unfurl, shed the layers, open their hearts, re-wild & come home, back into their own divine presence.

Her favourite yoga quote is:  “We use asana to get into our bodies, not our bodies to get into asana’s.” This sums up how she’s holds space & what these sacred practises means to her, a gentle re-wilding approach to arrive back home, remembering our voice, personal power, purpose & who we always were - loving presence.

Justine is passionate about weaving a trauma informed approach through all of her methods, as well as soul retrieval work, somatic mapping, intuitive embodied movement, recalibrating & healing the nervous system & working with energy medicines for deep everlasting healing.
